The Berlin archeological Museum is rich with a collection constituted since the 17th century. From the end of the 19th century, it has lead the race for the most important archeaological collections between France and the United Kingdom. The Museum of Pergame competed by undertaking  important archaeological excavations. Discovery of the altar of Pergame (sent to Berlin in spare parts) provided its current name. Therefore, you will have the opportunity to admire it, as well as the other rooms of the Hellenistic time.

Open: Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 6pm and until 10pm on Thursday.

A modern and complex architecture, in memory of the Jewish people. Inaugurated in 2001, the museum redraws 2000 years of history of the Jews in Germany, through objects of  everyday life and rooms of significant importance. A scenography rich in symbols.

Open: Monday from 10am to10pm. And from Tuesday to Sunday 10am to 8pm.

From the Brandenburg Gate to Schlossbrücke, this large avenue offers many interesting landmarks such as the Schloss Bellevue; which was the actual residence for the President of the Federal Republic of Germany. Admire the Victory Column, the Reichstag and the Brandenburg Gate...

Stretching over 1.3 kilometres, the former back bone of the Berlin Wall has been well preserved. After collapsing in 1989, this section was decorated and has since been considered the largest open air art gallery and artistic monument in the world.

A field of 2,711 concrete "steel" invites visitors to question themselves about the Holocaust. The documentation centre will additionally try to explain it. This memorial was inaugurated in 2005; 60 years after Nazi Germany surrendered. The duty of emphasising memory for Berlin is thoroughly executed through artwork, and the documentation centre.

Located in the Mitte district, Alexanderplatz is one of the pivotal  centres of Berlin. Nicknamed "Alex", this square combines a mixture of various architectural styles; between pre-war period style buildings, unclassifiable buildings such as the fountain of the friendship between the people, and the universal clock. You will also discover Urania and bars enclosed in 60's buildings. This elaborate combination will begin the theatre of your adventures; more than 300,000 people pass by this area on a daily basis.

The Memorial church of the Emperor Guillaume dates back to the end of the 19th century. However, the impressive original church was bombed in 1943. Today there is no more than a " hollow tooth ", that is its belfry. It is really in the spirit of memory that this church was kept and thus preserved in its state. Another church was constructed( resolutely modern) as a war testimony. It resembles very closely to the first, and contains elements resulting from an English' style church, also bombed during the war... Finally it symbolises peace between war participants.

Open: every day from 9am to 7pm.

Symbolic and emblematic former headquarters of the German Parliament. This neo-classic building welcomed assembly until 1933 then the Bundestag since 1999. The end of the monarchy was proclaimed there in 1918. Following a fire in 1933, the Nazis spread  terror by accusing the communists of creating it. The dome of origin was destroyed and reconstructed using glass, symbolising the transparency of the democracy.

Visit of the dome: every day from 8am to midnight.

The magnificent summer residence and park of kings (of Prussia)  began construction in 1695, and finished in 1699. It was Prince-voter Frederic who ordered it to be built, although an orangery, dome and a courtyard have been added over time. One is able to see certain areas of the castle without assistance, whereas other parts require a guide. Not far from Berlin central, well worth a visit if you plan to spend at least a few days in this thought provoking city.
