Ein Guedi is an oasis in the middle of the desert. Relax and swim here on a hot day! It has become a seaside resort, full of hotels.

In the 16th century, Soliman the Magnificent built walls all around Jerusalem’s Old City. Stoll along the top of them to enjoy a wonderful view over Jerusalem. Don’t miss Damascus or Jaffa Gate.

The Mosque of Omar, with a beautiful golden dome, dates back to the 7th century, which makes it Islam’s oldest monument. It relpaces the old Herod Temple that was destroyed by the Romans. It is the third most holy place for Muslims after Mecca and Medina. Entry is only permitted if you are of Muslim religion.

The faithful regularly gather before this wall that used to surround the temple built by Herod.  It is the most important holy place for Jews’ all over the world. Jews and muslims call it "El-Bourak", the name of the horse that Mahomet rode during his nocturnal journey. Men and women are separated, with men gathering at the north of the wall and women at the south.

After being the setting of many scenes in the Gospels, the Mount of Olives is now the world’s biggest Jewish cemetery. Located to the East of Jerusalem, on two hills measuring 700 metres tall, the cemetry is lined with edifices of the three religions.

This church was built in the 4th century on the ground assumed to be the grave of Jesus Christ. You can see the tomb underneath a splendid edifice.

The most famous Jerusalem gateway, Jaffa Gate used to be the city entrance when for those arriving from other cities.

This is the birthplace of Jerusalem, founded during the reign of David.  Excavations have shown a visible link between the Bible and the site’s geography. This archeological site is very important for the history of Jerusalem as it is evidence of the wars that it endured and the different reigns that it has witnessed. Visit the tunnel of Ezechias to which permitted the supply of water.

This austere and impressive building was named after the legislative apparatus in the Bible. Tours in different languages are organised, but it is important that you respect the dress code and consult the website before visiting. Exhibitions are also organised. Open to the public Sundays and Tuesdays from 8.30am to 3pm.
