Day 1 : Sightseeing in Paris: First Visit
Start your day onmost impressive avenue: the Champs Elysées, from the Arc de Triomphe, admiring on side of you the business district of La Défense and on the other the obelisk in the centre of Place de la Concorde and the Louvre museum. Walk down the avenue until you reach the Grand Palais and then cross the Seine via the Alexandre III bridge to Les Invalides. Do not forget to take a break! Then, go to the Louvre. Keep in mind that it is just impossible to visit everything in one day, so choose beforehand what you want to see!
In late afternoon, discover the soulful village of Paris: Montmartre. Visit the Basilica of the Sacré Coeur and get lost on the “Butte”,
Day 2 : Shopping in Paris
Today, go and take a look at the gargoyles of Notre Dame de Paris!
Then, head to the Marais and more particularly to the Place des Vosges where you can visit the house of Victor Hugo. Brunch in a typical Parisian bistro, Camille. Hunt for antiques in the village Saint-Paul. Then, do a little more shopping in the Francs Bourgeois street. Then head to the Centre Pompidou, the National Centre for Art and Culture in the heart of Paris. You can do a last quick shopping session in Forum des Halles. Then, pass through the courtyard of the magnificent Hôtel de ville (the town hall),to relax on the banks of the Seine.
In late afternoon, have an ‘aperitif’(a french custom, meaning having a drink before dinner) at Trocadéro in front of the Eiffel Tower. The atmosphere in the summer here is especially lively.
Day 3 : Culture, Art and Museums in Paris
After admiring the Impressionist paintings at the Musée d'Orsay stroll along boulevard Saint-Germain before following rue de Rennes. Head to the Bon Marché for a spot of shopping! Close by, you can have a "bistronomique” meal (Bistrot + gastronomy) at L'Epi Dupin. Otherwise, you will come accross Le timbre, offering traditional cuisine. Then, stride along the flowered aisles of "Luco” or the Luxembourg Gardens before eventually ending up at the Panthéon and the Sorbonne.
Day 4 : Something different to experience in Paris
This morning, choose either cruise on a Bateau-mouche, a river boat used to discover Paris from the Seine, or stroll around the graves of Jim Morrison, Honoré de Balzac, Frédéric Chopin and Edith Piaf at the cemetery of Père Lachaise.
Next head to the Opera Garnier district. It is the temple of shopping (except on Sundays): where you will enjoy department stores and the major international brands. But first,don't forget to have lunch! For a moment of relaxation before your crazy afternoon of shopping, select the quiet and cosy 16Haussmann. Otherwise, go directly to Déli-cieux, on the top floor of Printemps, a famous department store, enjoy a magnificent panorama of the city.
In late afternoon, admire the architecture of the Opéra Garnier and the windows of the jewellers on Place Vendôme.
