This central city exhibition displays the archaeological digs conducted on one of Iceland’s oldest houses, as well as the elements that were discovered in it. The house was most likely to be built in 871, which actually ties in with the year of foundation for the city. The (multimedia) exhibition itself raises many questions about how the island developed its population.
